SCHOOL PROFILE

Our school is a public school established by the Municipal District of Prague 6. It includes:

The elementary school has a capacity of 690 students.

Thanks to excellent results, the school is:

An EXCELLENT LANGUAGE SCHOOL OF PRAGUE 6 (children achieve excellent results in the SCIO English test)
A FACULTY SCHOOL of the Faculty of Education, Charles University (we enable the practice of future teachers, we participate in pedagogical research)

We support the all-round development of children, and our priorities include:

learning through cooperation, communication, mutual tolerance (START TOGETHER program)
SUPPORT FOR GIFTED CHILDREN AND CHILDREN IN NEED OF SUPPORT MEASURES (INDIVIDUAL PLANS, GROUP TEACHING)
We use the GENETIC METHOD when teaching reading.
we offer writing lessons in BOUND and COMENIA SCRIPT
we support FOREIGN LANGUAGE SKILLS (teaching English from 1st to 9th grade 4 hours a week, 1x with a native speaker; teaching another foreign language from 6th grade; teaching music partly in English in 6th and 7th grades; trips to countries of the languages taught; cooperation with schools abroad)
we support EXPERIENCED LEARNING (excursion and project days, visits to theater performances, music programs, exhibitions, museums, galleries, etc.)
we care about ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (we sort waste at school and allow parents to do the same; children participate in programs with science and environmental themes)

After-school activities are available for children in grades 1 and 2:

CLUBS within and outside the school after-school program
opportunity to spend time with friends in the RELAXATION ZONE (with support from the Endowment Fund)

PREPARATION and TUTORING groups in various subjects, tutoring and individual tutoring
supporting children's participation in COMPETITIONS and OLYMPIADS (sports, educational and aesthetic)
The school has a SCHOOL COUNSELING TEAM that is available to children, parents and teachers (educational counselor, school special educators, school psychologists, school prevention methodologist, and teaching assistants)

FREEDOM FOUNDATION (joint activities, support for the work of the school psychologist, support for supervision in the relaxation zone)
